WIRE AUDIO ELECTRONICS REPAIR is an independent repair shop in Seattle, Washington operated by myself, Eric Hold - technician / musician.

I provide service for guitar and bass amplifiers (tube and solid state), mixers, keyboards, effects, PAs and so on.

I have been repairing music gear professionally for 19 years.

Immediately after completing a 2-year "Electronics Technician" class at Lake Washington Techinical College in Kirkland, Washington, I started work in the pro-audio repair field...

I've worked for Carver-Pro (Seattle), American Music Service Center (Seattle), Fender Musical Instruments (a.k.a. "The old Sunn Factory" in Tualatin, Oregon!), Phoenix Gold/Carver (Portland, OR), Biotronik (Tualatin, OR), Inner Sound Audio Repair (Portland, OR), and helped service much music gear for local independent music stores here in Portland, Oregon as well as helping out Main Drag Music, (Brooklyn, NY)., Trade Up Music (Portland, OR) and Centaur Guitar (Portland, OR).

I have a Fender Gold level certification status which means Fender recognizes me as a qualified repair technician for their products--however, I am not an authorized service center (This means that I do not perform warranty work--all other work I can do). I have worked on just about all Fender amplifiers from the earliest, like the Champs, Deluxe, Twins, etc.--to some of the most recent, including The Cyber Twin, Blues Deville, Hotrod and so on.

I started my own business (Wire Audio) in the summer of 2003 out of necessity from a considerable amount of touring. As the general music scene grows bigger each year, the demand for affordable, quality service becomes more and more obvious.

I have been playing as a musician (primarily bass) since 1984 when I was about 12 years of age. After attempting to fix guitar pedals and amplifers at an early age of 16, I realized that I was bound to end up woking in the music business, one way or another.

As I've toured the United States many times, I understand that when it comes to repairs on music gear, there is a need for the job done right the first time... and at a fair price.

PLEASE NOTE (for DIY and amature repair people): I do not tutor or show anyone how to work on their own gear for both liability and effeciency reasons. If you are interested in working on your own gear, please do so at your own risk. This is a professional business, not a school or training center for DIY repair. I spent 2 years in College and now 17 years in the electronics service field. While my rates and charges are very reasonable, I am not able to spare any time to teach electronics. Thanks for your understanding.
